This is a timeline of known events in Gulliver's Travels.
Distant past[]
- According to Houyhnhnm mythology, the Yahoos emerged from sea foam or mud, or they originated from another land.
- "Six thousand moons" ago - The histories of Lilliput and Blefuscu date back to that period of time.
- If we calculate Lilliputian moons to years, it would had taken roughly 500 years before 1699 (our reference for Lilliput's history since Gulliver's discovery), so the earliest history of the two tiny island nations would had begun from the year 1199.
17th century[]
- 1661 - Lemuel Gulliver is born.

Miscellaneous[]
- 70 moons ago (1693) - Tramecksan and Slamecksan ("high church" and "low church") emerge as two competing factions in the politics and religion of Lilliput.
- ? - The grandfather of the current emperor of Lilliput ordered his subjects to break their eggs with the small end, as he cut his finger while breaking the larger end of an egg. It led to six rebellions and the execution of 11,000 rebels, while many others fled to their allies in Blefuscu.
- ? - Golbasto Momaren Evlame Gurdilo Shefin Mully Ully Gue becomes emperor of Lilliput.
- 36 moons ago (1696) - Lilliput and Blefuscu start a war.

- - Gulliver steals the fleets of Blefuscu, leading to the latter's surrender.

Future[]
- Gulliver refuses to reveal his discovered locations to the British government, as he wanted to protect those extraordinary lands from conquest.
- 1720 or 1721 - Gulliver writes down his memoirs about his adventures and discoveries.
- April 2, 1727 - Gulliver writes a revised version of his book.
- "Eleven thousand moons [months?] from now" - according to Lilliputian mythology, the flat earth with be inverted. For this reason, the people of Lilliput bury their dead upside-down so when that happens they will be resurrected to stand on their own feet on the renewed world.
- If we calculate Lilliputian moons to years, it would take 917 years from 1699, so it will have taken place in the year 2616, a long time from our age.
